Walking by nuTonomy's Singapore office one day, I noticed there were two signages outside their office. The first one with a big arrow pointing to the second one closer to the entrance. It was an interesting workaround because the original signage (the one closer to the entrance) was blocked by the stairwell and elevator shaft. So I decided to reach out to them with an alternative solution: turn the entire wall into a nuTonomy-branded mural. Several LinkedIn messages, emails and meet-ups later, this happened:

The mural design is inspired by Mondrian's Broadway Boogie Woogie (1942-43). The aim is to make visible the concept of motion and navigation, drawing parallels between the design and what the team at nuTonomy is doing to turn autonomous vehicles into reality. Going back to the original wayfinding situation, the design also resembles a map directing visitors to the doorbell with a recommended route and a destination pin.

nuTonomy's team joined in the fun and painted the mural too!
